NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONVEYANCE OF UNITED METHODIST CHURCH PROPERTY (Johnston Chapel United Methodist Church) Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church will, on or after December 23, 2017 QUITCLAIM, GRANT and CONVEY to Lisa Sargent, all of their right, title and interest, in and to a certain piece or parcel of land situate on the C. & O. Rail Road near Teays in the District of Scott, County of Putnam, State of West Virginia, bounded and described as follows: Beginning at the corner of lot No; three thence S. with division line of lot No; & & 4 nine poles to a stone, thence N. 9 poles to C. & O. R. R. wright of way line, thence West with C. & O. line 9 poles to the place of beginning and containing one half acre be it more or less. And being the same property conveyed from J. H. Coyner to Ernest Rooper, Bradie Rooper, Fred Schultz, William McDowell and J. H. Coyner Trustees for the Methodist Episcopal Church by Deed dated the 4th day of May, 1915 and of record in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Putnam County, West Virginia in Deed Book 40, at page 546. Said Johnston Chapel United Methodist Church having been closed by the regular 2017 session of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
